Charlie Rose has a discussion on Russia with some of the heavy hitters. Feels like 1985, no?

A vintage Charlie Rose type of a panel. An example of how PBS shows tend to have limits of perspective.Awhile back on CR, Kissinger said that the Russian mentality explains why they aren’t good at soccer. He elaborated by saying that soccer is more of a sudden free thinking sport unlike gymnastics and figure skating; which involve more pre-planning and less sudden free thinking.Apparently Kissinger is unaware of Russian prowess in sports like volleyball, water polo and ice hockey.Rose didn’t bother to second guess him.
