Grigory Pasko has contacted us to inform that Russian media is reporting that Anastasia Baburova, the young freelance reporter from Novaya Gazeta who was accompanying Stanislav Markelov, has died in hospital while receiving urgent medical care for a gunshot wound to the head. (The news has also just been confirmed by AP)

So this is the so-called ‘freedom of speech’?I’m verry sorry for another two ruthless and presumptuous murdered strong humans, who were willing to uncover dauntless and courageous the layers of smut produced by the so-called ‘useful elements of our society’. As I am sorry for those who suffers the permanent pressure exert from this ‘useful elements’ on them so that they lost the own power to be resistant to them.It seems to include the warning to all this people who still posseses a backbone while other people still remain among the opportune ‘follower’: “Don’t take for granted Your ‘freedom of speech’. Just take a look at Stanislav Markelov and Anastasia Baburova!”.And, with all dignity and decency and due respect in face of this murdered people: I can’t eat enough as I would like to vomit when I here ‘gentleman’ waffle about freedom of speech…
