I wonder what Russia Today’s take would have been on this same story?Has anyone else noticed the fitting tagline on the new http://www.russiatoday.com homepage?”Any story can be another story all together” ;-)

When was this interview conducted? The information that the journalist cited when talking to Kudrin was very dated and/or incorrect. He said that the ruble had lost 30% of its value while in reality it has lost closer to 55% of its value and he said that Russia had spent one-third of its reserves when in reality they have already spent two-thirds of their reserves. Finally, even though he accept some “responsibility” for Russia’s failure, he nonetheless goes on to say how the United States is doing worse than Russia, that is in effect following the standard Kremlin text that the crisis is the fault of the Americans and Russia is blameless victim.
