Gawker to Publish GQ Story in Russian

Simon Owens at Bloggasm just emailed us with the news that Gawker is planning on publishing a Russian translation of the disputed Scott Anderson article from GQ.  It looks like they are doing it through Google translator, which means that more than proving a political point to Putin, Nick Denton and co. are just poking the magazine’s corporate brass in the eye.

Whatever works, right?  It’s funny how the attempt to bury this story is probably going to bring it much more attention that if it had just been quietly published along with everything else that gets produced on Russia in a given day.

Concerning translation, how about Robert Amsterdam? Will you translate the text and place it on your Russian-language blog?
