France’s ERDF is taking over at Russia’s Tomsk Grid Company (TRK).  Oil producer Rosneft is searching for ways to improve its gas profits, and will team up with the smaller gas company Itera to pool resources, with an initial strategic cooperation that could pave the way for a joint venture.  TNK-BP noted a 55% rise in net income last year, to a record $9 billion.  The Philippines already has 36 firms lined up to bid on its 15 oil and gas exploration blocks.  This article says that the claim that a wind turbine requires more energy to build than it produces in its lifetime is not true.
