According to Reuters, Mazda Motor Corp has agreed with Russian car maker Sollers to consider forming a joint venture to produce Mazda cars in Vladivostok for the growing Russian market.  As Asian thirst for the metal increases, the world’s largest aluminum producer, Deripaska-owned RusAl, has apparently agreed to buy a 33% stake in a trading affiliate of China North Industries, Norinco.  Indebted steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works is reportedly poised to buy Australian group Flinders Mines for an agreed $538 million.
