Awesome Photos from Russia

Today somebody linked me over to a little thing on BoingBoing, which led me to this spectacular gallery of photos by Sergey Maximishin.  As the editor wrote, “Sergey Maximishin’s pictures of Russia are incredible, from the kitschy to the haunting to the just plain freaky.” I’d second this description – in other words, this guy captures that eccentricity that makes Russia so endlessly interesting to us.
