As BP’s case against Renova waits to be heard in Stockholm, minority shareholders in TNK-BP have apparently filed a claim against two BP executives.  LUKoil’s Bulgarian refinery has not yet had its operations suspended – a final ruling on a tax dispute is still being awaited.  Germany’s Eon has reported a first-quarter loss of €382 million, following the government’s announcement to phase out nuclear power, and could cut 13% of its 85,000-strong workforce.  The public backlash against shale gas in the U.S. (primarily related to fracking and fracking fluids) could threaten production unless environmental impacts are controlled, says a government-appointed committee.
