Transneft has not yet given up on Bulgaria, saying that it will push harder for permission to place an oil pipeline on its territory; the Bulgarian prime minister initially rejected the request, saying that Transneft had offered insufficient financial returns.  Rosatom’s chief executive tells the Financial Times that his company will use its acquisition of Canada’s Uranium One as a growth platform to help it extend into other markets.  US construction firm KBR has won contracts from the Iraqi government for work on refining projects.
