Lukoil’s net income fell 23% last year to $7 billion.  State oil giant Saudi Aramco plans to inject carbon dioxide into Ghawar, the world’s biggest oilfield, by 2012, a year ahead of schedule, in a bid to improve production and reduce emissions.  The FT reports that President Obama is expected to announce this week loan guarantees for two new nuclear reactors, ‘underlining the administration’s impatience to move forward America’s clean energy future given delays by Congress‘.  British energy suppliers may be forced to give consumers earlier warnings about price increases after it was reported that many were alerting customers to changes at the late end of a 65-day window.
