The Ukrainian government believes it should be compensated double what it currently receives for allowing Russia to pipe natural gas headed for Europe through its territory.  Former PM Yulia Tymoshenko will stand trial for her role in Ukraine’s 2009 deal between Gazprom and Naftogaz this week.  Shell has secured $865 million in funding for its Quest Carbon Capture and Storage project in Canada.  The IMF wants Middle East producers to ease reliance on gas exports to avoid a glut in the market.  The Telegraph reports on the oil tug-of-war between Opec and the International Energy Agency.
