Strange to see the range of characters chosen for persecution this May Day. The Left Front is credited with the burning of the images of oligarchs Oleg Deripaska and Vladimir Potanin (top right), and Roman Abramovich and Viktor Vekselberg (bottom left); there was also a nationalist contingency marching against immigration (the poster in the bottom right photo reads ‘Less Immigrants, More Wages’); and a pro-Stalin faction marching for the Communist Party. In short: plenty of extreme statements making the rounds yesterday…
