Nomos Bank has just become Russia’s second-largest private lender.  International pharmaceuticals operating in Russia are calling for more dialogue with the government to ensure ‘more predictability‘ in the market.  The US White House wants ‘permanent normal trade relations‘ with Russia, in order to capitalize on the latter’s impending WTO accession.  Russian farms with substantial livestock will receive $170 million in additional government support this year.  Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan have committed to cooperate on various railway projects.
