Silovik-in-Chief Igor Sechin appears to be expanding his passport stamp collection with another series of foreign state visits – this time to China – to announce agreements to deepen energy cooperation and establish frameworks to increase supplies to the East. His last trips to Cuba and Venezuela were shortly followed by the deployment of nuclear warships and fighter jets along with all the business deals. It must be so nice to be the chairman of an oil company and have the opportunity to travel on the government’s dime to go make more money for yourself. The man has at least four different job titles, which is something that would not be tolerated in most countries.
