I was heartbroken to learn this week of the passing of Toronto Star reporter Tracey Tyler, who was recently a victim of cancer at 50 years old.  I count myself among the fortunate people who had the opportunity to get to know Tracey well when she was covering legal affairs, and I have always regarded her as poignant, sharp, and a hell of a reporter.

The death of this Star Reporter is a terrible loss for the little guy … and the rest of us too.

Effervescent,challenging, charming, and smart, it is difficult to imagine that her voice has been stilled.
